FileDispenser™ 2.0.0 is a utility designed to optimize file management by applying filters when copying or moving a Source Folder. A Source Folder may be any folder, drive or CD. Folders are categorized according to your choice of File Formats, Application, Date Modified or File Name (alphabetically or numerically).

  5. What’s New In Version 2.0
  6.  
  7. • Version 2.0.0 supports drag-and-drop, one of the things that make a Macintosh fun to use.  User can just drag a source folder and a destination folder onto the respective areas.

  9. • By holding the <option> key while clicking the “Duplicate” button, the button will change to "Move >>" and files will be moved into the destination folder rather than be duplicated.  Original files will be moved out of  the source folder. That does not apply if the source folder is on a locked media or a CD. In such case, the duplicate mode should be used.

  11. • More criteria for categorizing files; more options for the action and better interface.

  13. • By using Help/Show Balloons, the user will get explanations about items on the FileDispenser™ window and learn about items on his/her screen.

  17. 1.    In the main window, select a source folder by clicking on the Source Folder button or by dragging/dropping the folder into the large square area above the  button.

  19. 2.    Select a Destination by clicking on that button or by dragging/dropping the folder into its window.

  21. 3.    Choose how you want the folders to be categorized, by clicking on one of the buttons under Filters.

  23. 4.    Also, make a selection for “If file name exists...”.

  25. 5.    Select the Duplicate button to copy the source folder to the destination. Or,  holding <option>/Duplicate and click, the button will change to “Move >>”, this will move the source folder to the destination.
